Our Client is currently driving ambitious plans for a global rollout of our enterprise applications systems and integrations. The main objective of the program is to deploy a standard ERP platform (Oracle E-Business Suite) for all Pearson owned operations. The IT Project Manager position requires the ability to effectively manage the ERP (Oracle EBS) applications systems program for the region as well as oversee multiple projects at any given time. This position will directly support the global implementation of our client’s enterprise applications systems by providing leadership and direction to the local project teams, while leveraging existing IT PMO methodologies and procedures. Bi-Lingual - Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus This position will use in-depth consulting skills, operational knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our client’s business environment in order to achieve expected business results. Experience with international ERP (Oracle EBS) deployments, PMO governance, operational processes, relationship management, and directing cross-functional teams is required. • Provide leadership on ERP (Oracle EBS) project implementations: technology and business processes enable in the application. • Influence business and technology stakeholders and team members in order to get buy-in on decisions that will lead to the success of projects. • Provide day-to-day project leadership and decision-making on critical project issues as they pertain to project scope, cost, schedule, budget, methodology, risk, and resources. • Provide teams with advice and input on tasks throughout the project, including enterprise application solution design, project plan, deliverables, issues management (including escalation to Oracle MetaLink Helpdesk support), and risk management. • Resolve conflicts within the project and across dependent projects between resources, schedules, budgets, priorities, etc. • Overall responsibility for ensuring PMO governance and standards. • Regional liaison between local IT and Corporate IT, establish productive relationships. • Effectively leverage and communicate global ERP platform improvements, share knowledge, and lessons learned with other team members, IT leadership, and the PMO. • Relationship management with regional CIOs and local IT teams. • Facilitate resource planning with project stakeholders at corporate level. • Consolidate and report regional project status and challenges. • Use, develop, and improve upon the existing IT PMO project management methodology. • Manage 3rd party vendors as an integral part of the project team's activities.
