Scope of Work  – Project Manager

The Project Manager (PM) will provide day-to-day oversight of the implementation.  These include performing tasks associated with the System Development Lifecycle such as Planning, Requirements Gathering, Design, Build, Test and Implementation.  

This is a PeopleSoft Financials/Supply Chain Management (FSCM) upgrade project starting in Summer of 2012. The project is to upgrade from PeopleSoft 8.9 to PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 and PeopleSoft Tools 8.5.2.  Expected start date for project is July  2012 with an anticipated go-live of March 2013 for a 10-month implementation

During Planning Phase, the expectation would be that, the project manager would facilitate and assist key stakeholders in determining the project scope and developing the project plan and timelines.  The team would look to the PM to provide 9.1 PeopleSoft expertise's throughout the project as needed to all teams. 

The Requirements Gathering Phase would include conducting a QA of current state and develop future state including workflows to perform a gap analysis for the upgrade. 

The Design Phase would entail conducting working sessions with end users and executives to determine what functionality would be included in Phase I and developing specifications.  

The Build and Test Phase would involve configuring the systems based on documentation from the Design Phase.  Testing would involve creating test scripts with end users, facilities testing sessions, creating/monitoring the issues log and coordinating logistics associated with testing.  Our Client conducts at least three forms of testing including:  Unit, Integrated and Systems Testing.  In addition, Volume and Stress testing is conducted along with Move-to-Production Testing. 

The Implementation Phase involves the rollout of the software.  Part of the manager’s responsibility would be to develop an activation plan for the rollout, develop a go-live support strategy, monitor, and manage issues until resolved.
