Director of IT Infrastructure

Responsibilities

•Line management of 5-10 person IT staff (IT Application & IT Infrastructure support).
•Input to the articulation and prioritization of future business requirements.
•Alignment of IT platforms supporting local requirements as well as leveraging global IT solutions.
•Progression of a cost effective, flexible and responsive IT support to clients and business.

Strategic Management (80%)
•Directs and controls strategy and execution of the firm’s activities in IT Application & IT Infrastructure.
•Develop and implement a medium-term IT strategy delivering a significant degree of system and process integration through leveraging local and global IT/process solutions.
•Advance service quality, cost-competitiveness and reliability of IT infrastructure.
•Ensure appropriate cooperation and dialogue with key user communities as well as between relevant IT units in the region and with Group IT.
•Recommends objectives, policies, and plans to the firm’s senior management.
•Define, implement and maintain effective minimum technical standards, architecture and project management disciplines along with relevant policies and procedures.
•Creation of cost and headcount budgets.
•Responsible for a substantial cost budget with considerable discretion on appropriation.

Functional Responsibility (20%)
•Line management of direct reports, including assignment of tasks to them and their teams, agreeing on priorities, delivery of targets and monitoring of progress.
•Provide guidance on technology issues to management.
•Effectively communicate with internal clients and staff.
•Represent the firm in dealings with clients and vendors.
•Responsible for the creation and development of new procedures, practices, and processes.

Position Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree
•Energetic, enthusiastic, articulate and committed leader.
•Seasoned leader with extensive business experience, 15+ years.
•Minimum of seven (7) years current experience in the Financial Industry
•Proven track record in delivering IT solutions.
•Quality and commercial orientation
•Sound understanding of core institutional Investment Management business processes.
